Find Your Weapon
by Evelyn
Before going to the battle field to fight against the giant, Goliath, David was advised to use Saul’s weapon (armour, helmet and sword) for the battle. But he found that it was not suitable for him. David decided to use the tools which were developed when he spent time with God in the pastures. The scriptures tell us that he defeated the enemy with a sling and a stone.

David was just a young, ordinary shepherd boy tending to his father’s sheep. Fighting a big giant at his age is certainly an overwhelming mission impossible. But when he inclined his heart to the Lord, he triumphed over the Philistine with his unique weapon. Though at times things may seem impossible, but when we shift our focus onto Him, everything changes. What seems impossible becomes possible.

Remember the collapse of the walls of Jericho? God asked the Israelites to march around the city, blow the trumpets and shout and no one could have ever imagined this would crash down the city’s wall. God uses various ways in guiding and leading different people. With a small stone, you are able to beat the giant, Goliath. And with just a shout, you can bring down the walls of Jericho! When we lean towards God’s heart, we can receive the specific weapon for fighting our battle.

As you journey with the Lord, stop focusing on the chaos and voices around you. Everyone is unique. Start to seek Him and He will hand over your unique weapon. He knows the best for you.
